The Engineer Wizard program is designed to calculate single-span and equal length twin-span windload as well as to calculate deadload on an intermediate horizontal, or over a door. Descriptive graphics and simple input allows the user to specify the frame, the metal system and to experiment with which mullion will fit the windload requirements. Other metal systems may be tried, if the original fails the test. Different reinforcing steels can be added to the mullion and these combinations may be tested, too. When the windload has been calculated, the deadload can be run to find the best horizontal to use. Deadload calculations may also be run for a door header. The standard calculation is for setting blocks at quarter points, but eighth points may be figured, as well. The results are very accurate and may be printed in a professional looking format within minutes of the first entry.
