The founders of Wizard Computer Services, Inc. have been involved with the Glass and Aluminum industry since 1984. Originally known as Industrial Process Control,or IPC they first began marketing estimating and engineering software for the Glass and Aluminum industry. Their software, then as now, has always had the advantage over other software companies due to the fact the one of the founders is third generation of the Glass and Aluminum industry. While there has been other companies with similar software packages, much of the competition has come and gone and still Wizard Computer Services continues to provide software to the industry.
As time progressed, they saw the need for computerized equipment and soon announced the availability of their Comp-U-Stop. The Comp-U-Stop was a computer driven saw stop which allowed the user to pass a series of cut sizes to the stop. The saw stop would move up and down allowing the person cutting aluminum or vinyl to simply place the stock length against the stop for an exact measurement. This piece of equipment helped increase production as well as eliminated mis-measured cuts. The saw stop could be interfaced to their length optimization programs thus providing a valuable tool to the glass shop.
As more software packages were produced for the Glass and Aluminum industry the company changed it's name to Wizard Computer Services, Inc. Not only did they provide the industry with various software packages but possibly the best software support in the industry. The company has always strived to insure that the technicians that support the software have had actual experience working in the Glass and Aluminum industry. This practice has helped to eliminate a communication frustration from the user's end when the "support tech" did not understand the basics of glazing. Additionally it often allowed them to find creative ways to work around any short Comings the software might have had simple due to the understanding of what the user was trying to attempt.
Over the past few years the company has begun development of other software packages for industries along with other computer controlled equipment. They have now ventured into the Ostrich industry with their own computer controlled line of incubators. Wizard's incubator will not only control temperature and humidity inside the incubator, it will rock the egg racks a user defined number of times a day. The software also has the ability to have multiple temperature and humidity setting within a 24-hour time period. Additionally, should a problem occur with the incubator, the system has the capability to page out to the rancher with information regarding the nature of the problem along with the current maximum and minimum settings of the system. User's of these incubators have seen a significant increase in their hatch rate and the overall health of chicks that are produced.
