The Metal Optimizer is an order oriented optimization package featuring
inventory control and cut-list generation Inventory information is displayed in
table form and is easily entered and changed. The number of sizes of stock is
limited only by the amount of memory on the host computer. Three-hundred
different stock types are permitted. Cutoff tracking is fully supported.
Orders contain a customer name, opening identifier, material use
description, row number, and column number, as well as the length, stock type,
and quantity of pieces to be cut. Order information is easily changed with a
few keystrokes.
When optimization is selected from the main menu the optimizer gathers
together all of the orders to optimize and performs the optimization. Inventory
may be updated automatically if desired. Reports include cut-list pricing,
order printing, inventory printing, and tag printing.
